This [link] is Yukito.

Yukito the 9 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi was recently diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM for short [link] ).  This is a genetic disease that effects the nerves of dogs, starting with the back legs.  Corgis are especially vulnerable to it.  

I originally thought, "Okay, back legs are going, time to put him down."  Yet my vet and multiple colleagues informed me that - since Yukito is incredibly healthy otherwise - he's eligible for a cart.  He is expected to live 3 to 6 years or more with a cart.

After about a month of research, I have decided to get him a K9 West cart:

Carts are rather hefty in price.  The one I'm looking at will run me roughly 374*.  

So I'm opening up a donation pool to the kindness of you guys on DeviantArt.  

If I make at least half of that off of donation (~190), both Yuki and I will be in good shape.

Update - I got back from the MotorCityComicCon with rather hefty donation box. Three people, not one but Three, gave Yuki a 5 dollar bill. The rest were in ones, quarters, dimes, about two nickles, and a ton of pennies. After counting it up, the donations there alone came to $53.94. This is excluding a single Canadian penny I found in there. Shame on you, whoever you are.

For the rest of you MCCC donators, thank you ever so much.  Even people who didn't want my art pitched in for Yukito and laughed/awed at the stories of him and his affection for random things like baby carrots.  It's real impressive what a dollar here and quarter there can really make when multiple people join together.

There were sadly no further donations on paypal over the weekend while I was off. So the total so far comes to $128.94, a good 61.06 dollars short of the initial goal of 190 (rough half-way mark of the full total.)
